Gift Hunting For Dad? Try This Yummy DIY Father’s Day Treat

If this question is constantly on your mind as Father’s Day approaches, know you’re not alone. Most dads possess a level-headed contentment that makes it hard to think of what else he may need. (Chances are, no more socks or ties.)

That’s why we, along with gift-giving experts, Julianna and Natasha, think something sweet and from the heart is always best.

In this episode of Giftable, Julianna and Natasha walk you through a homemade, fireside treat that any Dad is sure to love.

Father’s Day S’mores Kit

You’ll Need:

For Graham Crackers:

1 cup whole wheat flour
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
3 oz. unsalted butter, cubed and chilled
1/4 cup molasses
1/8 cup whole milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Add dry graham cracker ingredients to a food processor and blend until combined.
Add chilled butter and continue mixing.
Add molasses, milk and vanilla and continue mixing until mixture stick together.
Roll dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Lightly flour a surface and roll dough into a thick square.
Using a cracker or biscuit mold, cut out roughly 10-12 one-inch squares and poke each with a fork.
Bake crackers at 350° degrees F for 15 minutes.

Assembling the box:You’ll Need:
1 clear cellophane box
chocolate squares
marshmallows
bandana

Directions: Carefully stack box with crackers, chocolate and marshmallows.
Tie box with bandana, add a card and gift!
