Summer Fashion Must-Haves: Our favorite trendy colors, styles and accessories

Beautiful clothes and accessories you’ll want to wear all season long!

Even cherry blossoms bloom longer than some fashion trends, which go out of style before you can throw them in the washing machine for the first time. Everyone’s guilty of spending too much on new styles, wearing them a few times and then forgetting them in the dark abyss that is the back of the closet (oops!). This year, stock up on a few spring must-haves instead, which are stylish-yet-neutral, so you can keep wearing them all season long¾and throughout the summer! From colorful jumpsuits to neutral sandals, getting dressed has never been so easy.

Light Blue

Pastels are always a hit this time of year, but one stands out from the rest: eggshell blue! Wear this universally flattering color to church, the office or a cocktail party, and you are sure to turn heads.

Shoshanna makes a beautiful Talor V-neck dress ($398), available at Neiman Marcus, which features a top layer made with an all-over lace floral print. With a modest V-neck, a fitted waist and sweet flutter sleeves, you will feel gorgeous in this dress, which is perfect for any occasion this spring. For a more formal event, we love the Jovani Bustier Scuba Dress ($495), which makes a statement with a stunning oversized bow that reaches from bust to hem. With a strapless top and belted waist, this dress is bold, elegant and joyful. Pair it with heels and sparkling jewelry to complete the look.

Everyday fashion calls for something more comfortable. Nothing is easier (or prettier!) than a jumpsuit. Stock up on jumpsuits in different colors and patterns, so you will always have a ready-made outfit whenever you need it.

Banana Republic sells a bright coral orange jumpsuit ($139) made with a breezy linen/cotton material. It has a fabric belt to cinch the waist and a cropped hemline to keep you cool and show off your spring pedicure. Add a denim jacket on chilly days or wear alone; you will look amazing no matter what!

Other options include the emerald green jumpsuit from Ann Taylor ($179), with loose-fitting legs, flutter sleeves and a faux-wrap top. Not even a crisp Benjamin Franklin looks this good! Or, channel your inner sailor with the nautical-inspired blue-and-white-striped jumpsuit from J. Crew ($148). It’s comfortable and cute, with a stretchy material, front pockets and wide legs that will make you feel like you are wearing pajamas but look like beachy-chic.

Shades of Yellow Purses

Carry the sunshine with you wherever you go with a yellow purse, summer’s hottest neutral! Go with a darker mustard yellow or a brighter lemon purse depending on what you’re in the mood for; either way, it’ll look good with any outfit you wear.

Traveling or spending a busy day around town? Opt for the Michael Kors Jet Set Large Saffiano Leather Crossbody bag ($168), which goes across your shoulder for hands-free carrying. The strong rectangular-shaped bag is made with rubber-duck yellow leather and features complementary gold-tone chains on the straps. On the darker end of the spectrum is the Tory Burch Lee Radziwill Small Bag ($698). This dandelion-colored leather handbag is secured on the top with a special lock and key. With this on your arm, you will be able to accomplish anything or at least look good while trying!

Sandy Heels

Swap your boots for sandals this month and show off your cute new summer pedicure! Make it a goal to change your polish often and re-wear your shoes instead! We love a sandy heel that will go with any outfit, like the Alexandre Birman Clarita Cork Wedge Sandal ($595) from Nordstrom. This heel has a comfortable cork-wedge, complete with knotted straps over the toes and ankles to make them stand out. Looking for something with a little more pizzazz? The Loeffler Randall Penny Knotted Lamé Sandal ($395), also available at Nordstrom, features a metallic, rose-gold lamé fabric that is elegantly tied in a knot over the toe and wrapped over the heel.

With these summer staples, you’ll look even more beautiful than flowers. More importantly, you’ll feel great knowing you didn’t break the bank for clothes you’ll never wear¾nothing is prettier than that inner glow of relief!
