It’s always tough to lose one of Hollywood’s brightest stars. This week, friends, family, and fans mourned the loss of comedian and actor, Robin Williams. Best known for roles in films such as Good Will Hunting, Aladdin, and Mrs. Doubtfire, Williams’ bright spirit and knack for making others laugh stood out as his identifier and touched those around him. According to investigator findings, Williams died as a result of suicide on August 11. Recent reports concluded that the actor had been struggling with depression, and an interview with his wife, Susan Schneider, revealed that he was battling the early stages of Parkinson’s disease. In the interview, Schneider hoped that her husband’s passing would allow “others will find the strength to seek the care and support they need to treat whatever battles they are facing so they may feel less afraid." Williams is survived by his wife and three children from previous marriages: Zak Williams, Zelda Williams, and Cody Williams. The world will surely miss Williams’ warm heart and kind spirit. Remember, if you or someone you know needs help, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
