Three Reasons You Can’t Keep Running From Destiny
“You are fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 145)“God has a plan for you and it’s good.” (Jeremiah 29:11) “You were created on purpose with purpose.”
If you are like most believers, you’ve heard and quoted those sayings many times. But when are you going to start believing it and living it? It’s time to stop looking back, stop living in fear, and stop making excuses about why you can’t move forward.
It’s time for you to wake up and be who you were created to be. Living on purpose, with purpose has three big benefits:
1) Living your destiny honors God. God created you with a unique combination of gifts, talents, abilities and passion to help you fulfill your purpose. When you operate in your purpose, God is honored because you are operating according to your divine design.
2) Living your destiny gives personal fulfillment. God created you with purpose, and you will only be fulfilled when you live it out. Haven’t you spent enough time knowing you have more inside of you? Aren’t you tired of not maximizing your potential and living on purpose? Wouldn’t you be so much more fulfilled if you just did it? Not living out your purpose is like being a fish out of water or a cheetah that can’t run. You weren’t created to live in a cage of fear and behind a wall of low-level thinking. You are called to express your God-given purpose in the earth, and you will only truly be happy and fulfilled when you embrace your destiny and walk it out.
3) Living your destiny positively impacts others. God created you to impact others. Think of how your life has been changed by those who have dared to walk in purpose. Consider Dr. Martin L. King, Jr.—although you may not have met him, you experience the benefits of his willingness to follow destiny’s path courageously. Have you ever considered how many people are waiting on you to do the same? Who in the next generation will be changed because you have the courage to stand up and stand out now?
Living in your purpose can be scary, but you’ve got to want it more than you are afraid of it. It’s time for you to stand up, look fear in the face, and move forward. It’s time for you to be courageous. Destiny is waiting. Get moving!
