What a Year!
During 2015, I completed my second book, gained more speaking engagements, and I traveled to a new country, new state and new cities. However, I also experienced different challenges at work, had two surgeries, underwent weeks of medical problems, exams, doctors and hospital visits, broke ties with people, and memorialized the one year anniversary of my fiancée’s passing. I made mistakes, learned more about myself, let go of some fears, reflected on my weaknesses, and tried to become a better Christian, minister, family member and friend. What a year! What has 2015 been like for you? Did you experience the loss of a loved one, an illness, or loss of a job? Did you experience a nervous breakdown? Did you lose some friends? Did you get married, welcome a new baby, get a promotion or move to another city? Did you launch your business?
Like me, I know you probably said and did some things you wished you hadn’t said and done this year. I know you probably wish you could undo some of these things. I know you probably lost some sleep wondering what you should’ve or could’ve done differently in certain situations. I know you probably experienced challenges you desperately wanted or still want to overcome. I know you probably experienced setbacks you never thought you would ever experience. Whatever bad things that may have transpired during the course of the year, whatever mistakes you may have made, whatever challenges you have encountered, I pray you have found peace and comfort. I pray you sought forgiveness. I pray you have victory. I pray you have moved on.
I hope there were happy days. I hope there were days of laughter. I hope there were days of joy. I hope you achieved some or all of the goals you set out to achieve. I hope you learned more about the strength, power and beauty you possess. I pray you got closer to God.
No one knows what the future holds. But, I choose to believe that this upcoming year, 2016, will be an amazing year of blessings, breakthroughs, opportunities, growth and adventures for you and me. Yes, 365 days of new blessings, breakthroughs, opportunities, growth and adventures await us! Obstacles will come. They are a part of life. The same God who bestows blessings and breakthroughs for you will be there for you to help you through your difficult times. Look forward to the New Year with hope and faith that it will be better in many ways than 2015. Embrace it, knowing that your Father, your Provider, your Healer, your Protector is with you every step of the way.
