Advertising Account EXECUTIVE


HOPE for Women magazine is seeking a few enthusiastic advertising account executives to be key members of our sales team.  This important role will work to develop relationships with advertising clients, understand their marketing needs, consult on their marketing strategies to effectively reach our audience, and sell advertising opportunities on HOPE’s platforms that maximize the client’s impact and HOPE’s revenue.

The advertising account executive position is the perfect opportunity for a goal-driven self-starter who wants to be part of big growth while empowering women.  Our ideal candidate has strong sales experience and a proven track record of creating revenue growth. The candidate should be well-rounded with experience in different fields and have good communication, presentation and writing skills.  While we would like the candidate to have sales experience, it is not a requirement for this position as sales training will be supplied.

Job Responsibilities:

·         Present, promote and sell ad space in HOPE for Women magazine and online advertising across all platforms to existing and prospective customers

·         Perform needs analysis of existing/potential customers to help them use our platform to solve their marketing/advertising challenges

·         Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships

  • Regularly identify and close new sales opportunities

  • Drive all aspects and stages of a sale including qualifying the viability of potential sales, delivering presentations, contract negotiations, procurement discussions and managing the sales process through to its close

  • Manage a record of activity in company CRM

  • Work with marketing teams to support the day to day needs of clients

  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within deadline

  • Attend company sponsored sales training

Required Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

·         A passion for HOPE for Women’s audience and subject matter

·         Strong negotiation skills

·         Goal oriented

·         Excellent presentation and communication skills

·         Understanding how to communicate the value of products and services through proposals, presentations and phone calls

·         Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

·         Proactive with a do-what-it-takes mindset to achieve outcomes

·         Entrepreneurial mindset
