‘Tis the season – to stay home! 2020 has proven to be a crazy year, so welcome the holidays as a time to sit back and relax. You may be comfortable enjoying your favorite holiday traditions in person, or you may prefer trying a virtual experience this year! Many local theatres are offering the traditional holiday events you know and love, but with a social twist. Forego dressing up or piling into the car. This year’s holiday fun is just a few clicks away!
1. Indiana Repertory Theatre is offering a one-man dramedy inspired by the classic movie, It’s a Wonderful Life. The suggested audience for this production is eighth grade and above. The virtual ticket price is $30. This Wonderful Life is streaming until January 3, 2021.
2. The Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra is featuring “A Baroque Christmas,” a free concert on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 7:30 PM.
3. Old National Centre is showing Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 8:00 PM. Ticket prices are $24.99 which includes behind-the-scenes access.
4. "Rejoice!" with the Butler Arts & Events Center. This annual Butler holiday tradition will livestream free on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 7:30 PM.
5. The Center for the Performing Arts will host Dave Koz & Friends The Greatest Hits of Christmas 2020 on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 8:00 PM. With the $35 virtual ticket, you will also receive Koz’s two latest albums!
6. The Holidays at Home LiveStream Concert is live from the Palladium stage. The Carmel Symphony Orchestra featured vocalist, Heather Bays, performs Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 7:30 PM. Ticket cost is $30.
7. The Madame Walker Legacy Center is gifting away free laughs this holiday season! The comedy show Laughing on the Ave., Holiday Edition! will be on December 18, 2020 at 7:00 PM.
8. The Phoenix Theater Cultural Centre has teamed up with the Indianapolis Public Library to offer Season's Readings, a collection of family-friendly holiday books read by local Indy actors. Tune in to watch, listen, and enjoy the videos from now until January 8, 2021.
