Being a multi-talented, creative person is usually seen as a positive attribute. And while this is a good thing – it can also create challenges. When your natural abilities allow you to do things easily, you may lose sight of your true passions. You develop a pattern of saying yes too easily, only to find yourself engaged in multiple commitments that you really don’t enjoy. Your efforts are appreciated by those around you; but do you feel satisfied? Perhaps you would find more fulfillment tapping into your passions, positioning you to do something wholeheartedly and giving the best of yourself.

Identifying your passion is to find your personal story – it’s a journey everyone should travel. Once you find your God-given passion and you apply that enthusiasm and energy to your career, job, and everyday tasks, you will notice a positive difference in your life. Passion changes the drive behind your motivation. When you are fully present and passionately engaged, your focus becomes steadfast. Your beliefs, your purpose to achieving goals becomes pinnacle.

How do I discover what am I passionate about? Uncovering this answer is more about doing rather than overthinking. However, first steps would be to ask yourself the following questions, and then follow up with relevant research. (www.lifehack.org)

  • What do you love doing?

  • What do you spend time reading about?

  • Brainstorm your ideas.

  • Talk to others. Explore possibilities.

  • Take action and test out what you want to do.

Imagine yourself doing what your really love, center in on that feeling. This place of being tells about the person you are, as well as the strength of your commitment. It’s an inspiring feeling that will lead you to discover other areas of passion. And it’s contagious. You’ll be excited to share your ideas; those around you will take notice and want to be a part of your journey. Building your life around your passion allows you to act from your heart and give the best of yourself. It is a travel you will never regret.
