Try New Things in 2022

2022 is rapidly approaching (yes, way too soon!), and it’s time to make those new year resolutions. This coming year, focus on you! Not what you need to do, but what you’ve always wanted to do. Harmony Dance Studio

Located at 227 South Walnut in Muncie, Harmony Dance Studio has a goal “to spread the joy of dancing throughout the East Central Indiana region.” Sign up for $12 drop-in classes or $40 monthly classes (must register in advance), which include ballroom, salsa, hip hop, West Coast Swing, cha cha and more. The studio offers group and private lessons, dancing workshops and social events. 

Sur La Table

Lace up your apron and get ready to get down and dirty in the kitchen at Sur La Table, located at 14400 Clay Terrace Boulevard, Suite 100 in Carmel. They offer a variety of cooking and baking classes that are fun, easy and delicious! On Jan. 1, 2022, try the Homemade Winter Croissants class ($79), which is a three-hour workshop to teach you how to make these flaky French pastries. Sur La Table also offers online classes, private events and the Sur La Table Culinary Institute.

Made in Muncie

Not only is handmade pottery fun to design and create, but also it makes for a perfect gift for a loved one. Sign up for classes at Made in Muncie, located at 313 South Walnut Street, where you can learn everything from the basics of the potter’s wheel to the science behind glazes and firing. You can take a private lesson, a group workshop or host a private event with friends. Group pottery workshops start at $50 and include clay and bisque firing of your creation in the wet studio on your first visit, and painting and glazing your pottery on your second visit.

The Aerial Annex

The Aerial Annex is the only aerial silks studio in Muncie, located at 515 East Main Street. Those of all fitness levels can sign up to improve their dance, acrobats and flexibility skills in the air.

Pink Leaf Learning

Learn everything from yoga skills to knitting at Pink Leaf Learning, located at 108 South Walnut Street in Muncie. Pink Leaf offers community classes for the community based on your interests. Upcoming classes include Cocoa and Canvas painting on Dec. 8, Holiday Puff Pastries cooking class on Dec. 14, Knitting with Nancy on Jan. 6, 13, 20, and  27, and Lunch Break Yoga on Jan. 14.
