The Fragrance of Love

The fragrance of love speaks volumes. The transformation and healing power of love is so underrated. There is a fragrance that lingers and comes from the very essence of love. Do not underestimate it.

“Love is like a beautiful flower which I may not touch, but whose fragrance makes the garden a place of delight just the same.” ~ Helen Keller

Think of a time you received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and how it made you feel or how it lit up the room where you placed it. It brought more life to what once may have just been an ordinary room. Love has the power to do the same. It shifts moods and atmospheres. There is a song that was originally written by James Rowe in 1912 that says, “Love lifted me, when nothing else could help, love lifted me.”

You know where you are in your relationships in life. You know if love has been lost or if the flame of love needs to be rekindled. Love is not just an emotion but it is a decision. You must choose to love even when your emotions and circumstances are telling you otherwise. Relationships that you are meant to be a part of requires effort on both parts. Daily internal and external work is required for the fragrance of love to remain.

Send a card or flowers just because. Do not equate the value of a person’s love based on a price tag. Pick up the phone and check on someone you haven’t checked on in a while, especially when they keep coming to mind. Stop what you are doing and make the call. Intentionally schedule quality time with one another.

Do not fall into the trap that love should only be expressed during a certain time of the year, and when you leave a room let there be a fragrance that says love was here and the person you encounter will always remember how you made them feel.
