When I was in college, my roommate & I hit the town one night. On our way home, my roomie (feeling the repercussions of a long night of beveraging) lost control and projected vomit all over my dashboard, my passenger window and passenger door. But wait, there’s more. She had just pigged out on chicken salad and grape laffy-taffy. NAAAAAASTY! We got back to the dorm and — too tired to clean my car — left it. The next morning, I opened my car door and got bulldozed by the most atrocious odor ever! Whats my point? It stinks when people barf all over. When I was young and stupid, I thought “strong friendships” meant barfing every single, detailed, teenie-weenie piece of drama all over my friends. But I’ve gotten older and I’ve learned better. Barfing our problems all over people just doesn’t work. People aren’t powerful enough nor resilient enough to clean up the mess and eliminate the odor. That’s why we have Jesus. Our all-powerful, all-knowing, everywhere-at-one-time Savior who poignantly said, “Come to ME when you are weary” (Matt 11:28) Perhaps the best thing we can do for ourselves is give ALL the barf to Christ before barfing on each other. After all, God is the One who knew the barf was coming - He’s more than capable of cleaning it up.

So true, Heather. So true.
Tuna fish upchucked in my backseat by my car sick granddaughter years ago. Totally GROSS.
All my sin and shame - totally GROSS.
Thank God for Febreze and GRACE with total forgiveness.
This was written in pure Heather-style. Nothing held back. ♥ it!
Sooo true, problems, worries, marital issues, depression, can cling to people, especially when in low moments. New to your posting, enjoying it!
