Easy Stress Smack-Down Tactics

Stress… it actually does have pros and cons, even though you would never imagine stress to be beneficial. It usually gets a bad rap. But a healthy dose of stress keeps us on our toes, pushes us to reach higher goals, gain new skills, grow and expand. But what happens when stress levels tip the scales of too much and you start getting overwhelmed, messing with your true priorities, and it pulls you off track? That is when you need to re-assess and prepare for a Stress Smack-Down.

I am going to share with you three easy Stress Smack-Down tactics that you can easily start to apply pronto. I won’t even ask if you are ready, because I know you are. Here you go…

Stress Smack-Downs:

1) Let go of needing to know all the answers! You don’t need to be perfect. Allow yourself to be human, to be seen as who you truly are. It is time to stop caring so much what other people think of you and allow yourself to be real. People appreciate when you ask for support or show that you are willing to learn and grow. Give others a chance to shine.

2) Ask for help on tasks you don’t like! What a concept, right? We all have God-given talents that come naturally and organically to us. Focus on highlighting what comes easily to you and that you really enjoy. Learn to delegate or ask for support in the things that aren’t lighting you up. Those very things might be joy creators for someone else.

3) Tickle a baby! I just had to throw this one in, I am sure it threw you for a whirl. Honestly though, who can be stressed when they are tickling a baby? I just don’t think it is possible. If there isn’t a baby around, tickle the person closest to you. Who knows… you could meet a new friend or the man of your dreams.

As you can see there are simple things that you can do to derail major stress meltdowns. What you need to do is decide that you want to live a life that has a healthy amount of stress, not a boatload, and put habits into place to support that decision. It is always a choice.
